Newsletter May 2015

Week 1: On the first week, the members of the club were let outside again. This time, we were allowed to play a brand new game invented by the fantastic leader Anne. The objective was to whack the opponent with a swimming noodle, as though you were playing the medieval sport of jousting. The game was a huge success, and drew in members of all age groups. As well as this, more traditional games like football were being played all…

Newsletter April 2015

Week 1: On the week before Easter, the Youth Club had a egg hunt. Small eggs were hidden throughout the club, and it was our job to find a maximum and two each and, of course, eat them! After the “egg”citement of the hunt, there were games like Jenga set up around the club to play. Jenga has been a firm Youth Club favourite for a long while now, as it’s fun to build towers as well as playing the…

BGYC NEWSLETTER-04

Week 1: The first week in this edition was a regular, relaxing week. There was a board game being played in the back room, whilst in the front, the members could play computer games on lap-tops and the Xbox, or play the much more traditional game of pool. For some of the football fanatics in the group, there was a television on which they could watch the big match with their fa-vourite teams. The younger members enjoyed running around the…

BGYC NEWSLETTER – 06

Week 1: The first week was a fun multigames tourna-ment. Each member was in a pair with a friend, and had to complete a series of games. If you lost the game, you had to play again with someone else. The aim was to com-plete the entire circuit as quickly as possible. Me and my partner spent a very long time playing table tennis! The games included table football, pool, and my partic-ular favourite, jenga. One set of friends managed…
