The Purple Bus is Visiting Barns Green

Sussex Clubs for Young People are visiting Barns Green on  The Purple Bus Full risk assessments available on the Purple Bus, Safeguarding and PPE for staff and to ensure the equipment young people use is safe. We will can offer arts and crafts, a variety of sports including circus skills and one to one support from our youth workers if it’s required. Hello everyone BGYC has a new youth worker, Maria who is settling in nicely and is enjoying working with our amazing club and the new intake are enjoying themselves. WE need to ask again the club needs more people to help on Thursday’s from 6.30pm (to help with set up)-9pm. Volunteers are usually parents of the children attending but many of the helpers do not have children attending the club. SEPTEMBER-DECEMBER EVENTS 2016 Dear Volunteer, Thank you for volunteering  to help out with BGYC. On your volunteer week, please be at the hall at 6.30pm.  It takes around 15 mins to get all the equipment out e.g. pool table, table tennis, computers etc. The youth worker briefs all volunteers at 6.45pm, ready for the start at 7pm.  The session runs until 9pm. Goody Bags

As you know we fill the goody bags for the Barns Green Half Marathon every year, and The Club receives a generous donation from the Half marathon for our effort you can see more about the Half Marathon here This year we will be filling bags on the 22nd September 2016. As usual Simon will be organising and managing the event so please come along and help and join in the fun, yes it is fun.

Week 1: On the first week, the members of the club were let outside again. This time, we were allowed to play a brand new game invented by the fantastic leader Anne. The objective was to whack the opponent with a swimming noodle, as though you were playing the medieval sport of jousting. The game was a huge success, and drew in members of all age groups. Week 1: On the week before Easter, the Youth Club had a egg hunt. Small eggs were hidden throughout the club, and it was our job to find a maximum and two each and, of course, eat them! After the “egg”citement of the hunt, there were games like Jenga set up around the club to play.
